For this, you must have a Gmail ID.  You can create Google Alerts for any person, a company and news. After creating it, Google Alert sends the latest update in your Gmail Inbox about the related topic.

How to set up Google Alerts?- Step by Step.

For setting up Google alerts, you have to follow all the below steps-

     

Steps:

1.     Go to https://www.Google.com/Alerts

2.     Enter Alert Topic in the search bar.

3.     Instantly Alerts preview will appear. Now Enter your Email address and Click on Show Option.

4.     Set delivery time

     You can set delivery time according to you. Whenever you feel free to check your mail set it.

5.     Digest

     By ticking the digest, you can find all the alerts in a single mail. You can check every mail or you will be able to read all the alerts in one place.

Update Google Alerts

     Here you can update or customize your Google Alerts. Whatever topic's alert you want to edit you can. After going into edit mode, this type of menu will open. I'll tell you how can you update Google alerts.

6.  After Clicking on Show option you can see as below-

a. How Often - Here you have to set an alert delivery time. If you want to receive an alert about your Favorite Topic in your email address, you have to do some settings here. You can select "As-it-happens" or "At most one day" or select "At most one a week" to receive weekly alerts.

b.  Sources - In the Sources, you have to set that from where you want mail such as from a blog or a news portal. You can select categories related to Blog, News, Videos, discussion, Finance, Web, and Books in the Sources option. If your topic is not related to such categories, you can select "Automatic".

c.  Language - Select your language in the language option.

d. Region – You can select region according to your country and language. If you only want to receive the content alert from the Indian Region's then select India. Otherwise, select "English" for Worldwide Content Alert.

e. How many – Here you can filter your results. Select either  "Best results" or "All results".

f. Delivery - Select the Email address on which you want to receive Google Alerts.

g. Once all the settings are done click on Create Alert.

Finally, You can see the list of all your created alerts on MyAlerts. In future according to your need you can change a setting, edit and remove your search alert terms.

      Just like this, you can receive alert notification for your favorite topic. After setting up Google Alerts on your topic, as soon as the new content is indexed in the Google search engine, you will get an alert notification in your Email Inbox.
